Suzanna Vass, D.O.
Dr. Vass, originally from Scranton, Pennsylvania, graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Chemistry in 1993. She went onto medical school and graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1997 and then completed a 4 year Residency program in Emergency Medicine and is a board certified Emergency Medicine Physician.
Dr. Vass also served in the Air National Guard in Pittsburgh throughout her training and until her retirement from the U.S. Air Force as a Lt. Colonel and Chief of Aerospace Medicine. For 26 years she had the honor and privilege of serving her country both at home and abroad.
When she is not seeing patients or managing the business, she enjoys beach time with friends.
Douglas Neagles, MSN, ANRP
Doug, originally from Michigan, started his medical career in 1980 when he became an LPN. He continued in the nursing field and worked his way up to obtaining a Master’s of Science degree as a Nurse Practitioner in 1996 from the University of South Florida.
Since his graduation, he has worked in an Emergency Department, a Family Practice office and thankfully, for the past 4 years with ER2YOU. Doug’s many years of experience and training allows him to provide excellent compassionate care.
When he is not working, he enjoys his family time, especially with his beautiful granddaughter. Doug is also a bicycling enthusiast and can be seen riding around the streets of Venice on any given day.
Judy Humphreys, MSN, ANRP, MBA
Judy, originally from West Virginia, has over 30 years of experience having worked in Emergency Rooms, Urgent Cares and Family Practice offices. She has worked with ER2YOU for the past 3 years and we are very fortunate to have her.
She began her career in Nursing in the 1980s and continued her training and education, graduating from the University of West Virginia with her Master’s of Science degree as a Nurse Practitioner in 1994. She was not yet satisfied with her education so she went on to obtain a Master degree in business in 2003. She prides herself as having a wealth of knowledge and experience and is dedicated to keeping up to date in clinical practice changes. She is a compassionate and understanding provider with a strong work ethic.
When Judy isn’t working for ER2YOU, she is working on remodeling her home and garden. She is quite gifted with tools and has a green thumb. She also enjoys spending time with her family and her sweet Labrador Retriever, Shy.
Shawn came to Florida from Indianapolis, Indiana in 2003 in search of warmer weather. He is new to our ER2YOU team and has caught on very quickly and is a great team player. Shawn has amazing IV starting skills and is a kind, intelligent and compassionate young man.
He is a Disabled Veteran who proudly served his country in the Navy until he had a career ending injury.
He currently works full-time in the Emergency Department and helps ER2YOU whenever he can.
When Shawn is not working, he enjoys pool time with his partner and his two little girls.
Amy is a rarity because she was born and raised in Florida. She has been with ER2YOU for almost a year and has been a great addition to our team. She is always willing to help when she is able, and her skills and kindness are greatly appreciated by our patients.
She has been an EMT for 13 years and is currently taking her college courses for Nursing School. Amy has worked in the Emergency Department full time for the past 4 years.
As a wife and mother of two young girls, she has had to fine tune the balancing act of work, school and family. When she is not working, studying or child rearing she enjoys spending time outdoors with her family.
“Sam” is ER2YOU’s full-time technician. She moved with her daughter Alexis from Becker Minnesota three years ago to be closer to her grandparents. She is the “go to” girl for all things ER2YOU. She manages the schedule, payroll, inventory and provides patient care.
Sam was a cosmetologist for 12 years prior to migrating to the health care field. She became a Certified Nursing Assistant and phlebotomist 3 years ago. She had worked in that capacity full-time in the Emergency Department until she joined our team. She has excellent skills and emphasizes patient comfort when providing patient care.
Even though she is a workaholic, she still has time for her most precious gift, her daughter Alexis. When she is not working, she enjoys walking the local beaches with her daughter and hanging out with friends.
